What proof is there that humans are naturally omnivores?

Apes eat meat if they can get it. Bugs are considered meat. We are omnivores because we tend to eat meat as well as plants if given a choice. If you put fried chicken and an apple in front of a cow it will naturally eat the apple(herbivore) Humans would eat both (omnivore) Its based on what a species generally chooses to eat. Hmans developed hunting skills that apes did not.
