Why cant homosepians safely feed on uncooked meat while other carnivores can?

The idea here is that too often, raw meat will contain parasites, or be slightly rotten. You'll notice that carnivores don't live as long as we do. Also, most of them don't retain the material in the digestive tract as long as we do
