Silent treatment or being short? Which one gets to you more?

So I'm mad at my guy friend... long story. But I want him to know that what he did was wrong. I don't know whether to not text back to him at all OR to be short with him like one or two word texts and such like that. which one will make him feel more sorry? Thank you!
