Why should I get a ferret?

My landlord is very strict about pets she does not let us get pets that shed a lot, that are not hypoallergenic or make a lot of noise.So I would like to know how long they sleep and when are they awake, if they make a lot of noise and if they're hypoallergenic. Thank you all answers are appreciated! PS I know they are carnivores and that they bite if frightened, they need annual shot, expensive to take care of, etc, etc.
